The CommonWealth of Austrailia has it's Democratic Capital, here in the Austrailian Captital Terrorory city of Canberra. It's called the bush captial for as whole city is pictured below and it's surrounded on all sides for hundreds of miles by first the woodlands of the capitial region

Melbourne has a reputation as austrailia's sporting cultural captial. And from I saw, it is well deserved. I arrived to melbourne via the prince's highway.. first taking a detour to philip island home of the austrailia grand prix and superbike championship. Moreston bay has much boating activity in sydney.. but there's more room. There is the city center was the deaf olympics.. I was the beach volleyball on st kilda beach. The commonwealth games is to held here in melbourne 2006. Fifty years after holding austrailia's first olympics. Not forgoting the austrailian tennis open, the melbourne cup, the aussie rules grand final. (There is a 24hour footy as one of the main cable stations, first time and only city I was this in austrailia.)
Melbourne seems to a very good music.. the radio was brillant and here is some of the plays in the palace theatre in st kilda
