#16 pg.162 ( Whatever is pervaded by anything is an effect of that thing, the cause) {an earthen jar\clay}. Itself uncaused, the cause i.e. the Self, producing effects (such as intellect etc.)must, therefore, have an existence invariably anterior to that of the effect.
