Vincent Damon Furnier formed a band which went through several name changes before
becoming known as Alice Cooper, in 1968. They based themselves around L.A. in California
but moved to Detroit, where they built a greater audience. Their live shows consisted of guillotines, blood, and snakes and they always retained their shock live acts. The band parted in 1973 but Furnier kept the name running. He starred in some horror movies of the 80's but never reached the peak he was at during the 70's. |
