Formed in 1996, Arch Enemy consisted of ex- members of In Flames, Merciful Fate and
Armageddon. The Swedish death-metallers have followed the melodic death metal
movement which has been becoming increasingly popular during the late 90's. The bands sound can be quite gruesome at times, but due to the departure of frontman Johan Liiva, the band continued on and recruited an innocent looking German woman to be the new vocalist who's raging voice sounds like it's coming from Satan himself. |
