Jane's Addiction was formed in L.A. by frontman Farrell and consisted of the current
line-up, but with original bassist Eric Avery. They released their studio debut, Nothing's
Shocking, in 1988 and their second album in 1990. They started Lollapalooza and split in 1991, later becoming involved in projects including Porno For Pyros and Polar Bear. They re-united in 1997 for one tour but Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea took up bass guitar duties. They reformed again, but with new bassist Lenoble, and made a comeback appearance at the Reading Festival, England. |
