Judas Priest was formed in 1970 by guitarist Downing and bassist Hill and were the
innovators of the leather image, aswell as the British New Wave Of heavy Metal genre.
After many lineup changes, the lineup settled up being finished by vocalist Rob Halford,
guitarist Tipton and drummer Dave Holland. Judas Priest were innovators of heavy metal and, along with Iron Maiden, an influence on all metal bands to came. Halford left the band in the early 90's and replaced by current vocalist Owens. However, the fans found it hard to accept this new lineup, and their recent albums have been very poorly received. |
