Kittie was formed in high school by Mercedes Lander and Bowman and started doing covers of
Nirvana and Silverchair while claiming to be half glam rock and half death metal. By the time they got a record deal, they had made their sound heavier which was shown in the 1999 full lenght debut of Spit. At the end of 2001, guitarist Bowman left and was temporarily replaced by Jeff Phillips. |
