Linkin Park started off with the name Hybrid Theory but later had to change it due to an
electronica group having a similiar name. Shinoda, Delson and Bourdon took a musical path
combining elements of hip-hop and metal. Shinoda and DJ Hahn are responsible for much of the artwork associated with the band and the two aptly met in art college. Bassist Phoenix was in between Linkin Park and another band and vocalist Bennington was after leaving Grey Dayz. Linkin Park have been accused of being a metal boyband but too little proof exists for this to be true. They are one of the fastest emerging nu-metal bands today and have a live act reputed to be rivetting. |
