Ministry was formed by Jourgensen in 1981. Their debut single, Cold Life, was more like
new wave like The Human League than the heavier industrial metal, like counterparts Nine
Inch Nails. The bands most popular release, Psalm 69, back in 1992, was helped by exposure of the single Jesus Built My Hotrod on MTV. Due to side projects and drug problems, Ministry ceased to exist until 1999 with the single, Bad Blood and the album, Dark Side Of The Spoon. Ministry, as a two-piece, completed the album Sphinctour in 2002. |
