Mushroomhead was only meant to be a side project when drummer Skinny founded the band in
1993, as most of the members were in other bands at the time. The band adopted bondage
mask looking gas masks to cover their identities, but one member prefers to have makeup
instead. The Cleveland, U.S. based octet were a popular local attraction and their masks made the band more intriguing. They have been on the U.S. and European Ozzfest tours and their major label debut, XX, was released in 2001. |
