Napalm Death was formed in Ipswich, England, 1982, and were the main pioneers of the
grindcore movement, along with Carcass. Their debut LP, Scum, was released by the bands
own label but the band suffered many lineup changes throughout production. BBC Radio DJ
John Peel continuously supported them which brought them publicity. In 1988, they released From Enslavement To Obliteration which had 54 songs on it. The band consider their music to be grindcore, which they started, and which their version of a mix of thrash metal, hardcore and pure heavy metal, in short sharp blasts, and considered to be the heaviest musical form ever. |
