Having been kicked out of home by his mother who didn't believe in his musical
aspirations, Cobain lived on the streets and was helped by a local called Buzz Osborne and
became a roadie, where he met bassist Novaselic. The duo, plus former drummer Aaron Burckhard, made a demo and Grohl was later recruited. After changing management, the classic album, Nevermind, was released and went gold in nineteen days. Cobain died from suspected suicide in April, 1994. The band's music lives on with many dedicated fans still playing their records like they were new. Despite conflicts with Cobain's widow, Courtney Love tried to cease the release of an up and coming album boxset, but after a song was leaked, gave in to the release. |
