Gamma Ray formed from the ashes of Kyuss, a band that were seen as the ultimate stoner
rock band, including many musicians such as Matt Cameron of Soundgarden. Ex- Kyuss drummer
Hernandez joined and they changed their name to Queens Of The Stone Age. The band finally released a self-titled debut in 1998 and featured on the 2000 Ozzfest tour. After the tour, Hernandez was replaced by Troutman and Lucero. |
