DUTIES
 |
The Unit provides first aid
and ambulance service to various sporting fixtures and martial arts tournaments
along with major events such as concerts, the Galway Races and the Galway
Novena. In
order to maintain a high standard of skills to cover such duties, our members
are trained on a continuous basis in skills such as first aid and life saving
techniques, ambulance equipment, manual and patient handling, and home nursing
skills. |

Mervue Unit has an illustrious tradition in first aid competitions on a
regional, national and international level over the years. |
