Maps Starting with I

Inch Sand Dunes:, Inch Co. Kerry. This is the largest area of sand dunes in the country. While there are many large dunes, the main characteristic of Inch is its huge holes. This is a superb open area for orienteering. To get there, take the R561 from Castlemain (near Tralee) towards Dingle. The beach is down to the left at Inch village.

Inchigeelagh: Co. Cork. This is the general area of several excellent maps of complex open moorland used mainly for the Shamrock O'Ringen.

Inniscarra Wood East: Blarney, Co. Cork.  GR W545723.

Inniscarra Wood: Co. Cork.  GR W525 728.  I'm not sure if this is the same place as Inniscarra Wood East.

Island Wood: This is between Kanturk and Newmarket, a couple of miles west of the main road. If you have never been there before, the best thing is to go as far as Newmarket and follow the O-signs. Grid reference R 31 05.
