Maps Starting with T

Templemichael: On the Ballyvolane/Glenville road, north of Cork city.

The Crags: Glenflesk, Co. Kerry.  A step area of very complex open.

Thomastown: Kilfinane, Co. Limerick.

Three Rock Wood: Forest and mountain, on the southern outskirts of Dublin city. To get there, drive through Dundrum villege, towards Ballinteer. Turn left at the roundabout and drive straight, past Wesley College, up the hill. Cross the 'southern ring road' and go straight up. There will be O-signs. Grid reference O 17 23.

Tollymore Forest Park: Newcastle Co. Down. Grid reference J 35 32.

Trabolgan: Whitegate, Co. Cork. GR W 838619.

Tracton: Carrigaline, Co. Cork. This is a tiny wood in South East Cork. To get there, drive to Carrigaline. Go through the town and veer right on the road towards Kinsale. At Ballyfeatd, turn left the forest is on the left, a couple of miles down the road - just beside the Overdraft pub.

Tramore: The area of sand dunes above the beach. A very technical and interesting area - highly recommended. To get there, drive as far as you can along the Prom in Tramore. The registration is usually at the end of the car park. Grid reference S 59 01.

Trooperstown: Laragh, Co. Wicklow. Fairly typical Wicklow terrain - mature forest and open mountain without too much detail. To get there, take the N11 south from Dublin. At Kilmacanogue, turn right onto the R755 to Roundwood and Annamoe. The forest is on the left, a mile or so before Laragh. Grid reference T 16 97.
