How do I join ?

The best way to join is to come along to the stand at Clubs Day. Here is where you pay your membership fee and get all the relevant information. Club's days takes place very early in first term, and the Clubs stand is set up in Aras Na McLeinn, outside the Student Sports Centre.

If you miss this day, get in touch with any of the committee members and they'll tell you everything you need to know.

Once you've joined, get paddlin' ! During the first few weeks of first term, daily sessions are run on the canal beside the clubhouse. You only need to go to these once a week for four or five weeks to be eligible to go to Kerry - and believe me you want to go to Kerry !

Make sure to keep an eye on the Notice Board in the Student's Sport Centre. This will always tell you everything you need to know.

What do I bring on the sessions ?

  • A wetsuit if you have one otherwise: -
  • Tracksuit bottoms
  • Windcheater
  • Old runners
  • A towel
  • Wooly Jumper

  • A snorkel (only joking)
Do I have to be able to swim ?

You don't have to be a strong swimmer, just comfortable in water.
