All about Doris

Doris Shire comes from Kildimo in County Limerick and for the past 30 years she has lived just down the road in Mungret.  Quite often referred to as the Mungret Nightingale, Doris is widely known as a singer of Irish traditional songs and she also has a love of country songs as she shows in style with some tracks on her latest album.

The exiles in Britain  have also taken Doris to their hearts.  She has been part of every one of the eleven Irish Rambling House Tours of Britain and has sang in major venues from Liverpool to London.  Doris also features on many  Irish Rambling House DVDs.

Her Latest Album, My Own Home Town, was launched recently at a function at the Seven Sisters in Kildimo by Joe Harrington of the Irish Rambling House.
