Mass of Thanksgiving

Bishop Boniface and the Pastoral Council of Christ the King Parish invited the Passionist brethern and representatives from all the parishes to a Mass of Thanksgiving in the Cathedral and a reception afterwards in Cathedral House. Bishop Frank Nubuasah from Francistown and many of his priests and Religious joined us. The magnificent liturgy was planned by Fr Pat and Sr Therese. There was great singing and music, drumming and dancing and at least a dozen speeches, among them some simple heartfelt words from Sr Maura CP, a sister of Bishop Urban Murphy.

At one point in the Mass, all Passionists left the Cathedral to spend a few moments of prayer and reflection at the late Bishop Urban Murphy's tomb. We left the celebration with fireworks in our heads and hearts! Facing another fifty years was no problem at all. And Salvian was heard to say that he would not have to pray again for at least a month!
