Tobar
Mhuire, Crossgar
Here
in Tobar Mhuire we are all keeping reasonably well.
We
continue with the usual apostolate - confessions, individuals and groups
coming on retreat, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, daily concelebrated
Mass and morning prayer with the people.
Also
we have various prayer groups - a rosary/divine mercy group, a charismatic
group and a youth group. They are all well attended but our youth group
is growing rapidly with over fifty young people coming. The young people
have their own music ministry with eight of them playing different instruments.
They come here once a week for an hour's music practice. Over a weekend
recently, Joe Dalton from Dublin, led our charismatic group through a
shortened version of the "Life in the Spirit" seminars. Sixty
people participated. They were pleased with the retreat saying it was
a powerful spiritual experience. Once a month we have a "Healing"
Mass which is attracting large numbers.
Pat
Duffy conducts courses here on "Focussing" and on pre-marriage
preparation.
How
time flies - on the 8th November it will be the first anniversary of Rita
Knight, RIP. We've welcomed, to the Vocation Guild Office, Eilish McCartan
who now assists Brother Paul.
Our
"Fun Day" this year was a huge success. We were blessed with
the weather - the sun was splitting the trees!
