We have decided to submit three pieces from this community in order to
share with you our developing reflections about our life and activities.
Essentially we see ourselves as three Passionists exploring and working to
create a contemporary expression of our charism in Belfast and its environs.
We realise that a project such as ours raises questions and can be seen by
some as a judgement on traditional expressions of our life and work. This is
not our desire or intention. We believe this initiative can sit comfortably
alongside our other communities and ministries.

Within our congregation and indeed within the province we have various
expressions of authentic Passionist life and ministry. We read of Passionist
involvement in such issues as Aids, street-children, poverty intervention
work, justice advocacy, inner city missions, media, to name but a few. We
are proud that Passionists are engaged in such work and we rejoice in our
collective share in this compassionate outreach.

Finally we want to extend a word of welcome to any of you who would like
to visit us, we always enjoy visits from members of the province.
