THE TWIN FRESNELS VISUAL SYSTEM

Impossible to capture the true impact with a camera but this is the best I can do

{2fres}

{lenses}

The visual system is simple but very effective.

The windscreen of the flight deck comprises of a curved Fresnel Lens which magnifies the monitor image and provides a 3D picture. A second Fresnel Lens mounted between the first lens and the monitor produces an even bigger (huge) curved 3D picture which emulates a collimated mirror system and provides a most realistic outside view.

To enhance the realism and create the impression that he is "sitting up there" in a cockpit the pilot's eye view to the outside image must be slanted slightly downwards rather than level.

With this setup you can really believe you are in a cabin which is "flying".
