The 'Famous' Madden's Bar Est. 1850

and

Award Winning Restaurant.

'Definitely the place to visit during Lismore's first ever Munster Fleadh Cheoil.'

Madden's Bar is one of the towns oldest and most famous pubs. It is located in the old part of the town just two minutes walk from the ancient St Carthage's Cathedral.

Always a popular haven for those who loke a warm welcoming athmosphere and enjoy the 'craic.' The inside walls of the cosy lounge bar are covered with photos, pictures and mermorabillia of famous sports stars and film stars who have visited at one time or another.

Stars such as famous dancer Fred Ataire and his sister Adele. US Speaker of the House John McCormack and local writer Dervla Murphy.

Visitors to this vintage rendzvous can also sample one of the award winning restaurant's, quality home-cooked bar meals or snacks, produced by Owen Madden and his staff. Owen received some of his training from well known chef Darina Allen.

They say the proof is in the pudding, so why not drop in and check out Madden's Bar for yourself, and the Guinness is pretty good there too.
