THE DOWNS GAA NOTES

Lucky Numbers draw:

There was no winner of the IR£1800 jackpot in the Christmas Lucky Numbers draw held on St.Stephen’s night, 26^th December. Numbers drawn were 6,14,19 & 24.

£50 prize-winners were Trudie Rowan and M.Canning.

The winners of the bonus draw held on the 16^th of December were as follows:

Johnny Kelleghan, Cloughan, Marie Haddigan, Emily Byrne c/o S.Loran, J.Nolan, Curraghmore, Rose Corcoran, Denise Doherty, Donal Dale c/o Taconic, N.Coen, Gaybrook, Mick McNamee and May Egerton.

There was no winner in the lucky numbers draw held on New Years night 1^st January.

Numbers drawn were 4, 9, 22 & 23. £50 prize-winners were Carmel Lynch, Van Nelle and Kay Moore, Marlinstown.

Committee Meeting:

Our first committee meeting of the New Year will be held in the Clubhouse on Friday night next, 12^th January at 8.30.

Readoiri:

Congratulations to our Ceili & Set Dancers, Solo singer and to our Group & Solo Musicians who recently qualified for the next round of the Readoiri competition which is to be held in Portarlington on Sunday February 4^th .

Commiserations to the Novelty Act and Recitation, who despite a great performance, unfortunately failed to qualify for the next round.
