The school enters all quizzes at local and national level. The quiz circuit is now an itegral part of the school year and we have practically dominated County Galway over the last few years.

  Recent academic years have proved to be especially successful for our school :
We won the local Garda quiz; are holders of the Mercy Convent Parent's Council competition; were Connacht champions in the Credit Union competition representing St. Jarlath's Credit Union, Tuam and also came ninth in the All-Ireland Credit Union Final held in the R.D.S. in Dublin. We currently hold the local St Jarlath's Credit Union trophy at Under 13 level.

   In 2000 the school triumphed over 3,000 other primary schools to win the All-Ireland Final of the Cadbury N.P.C. Challenge in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin. We were presented with the Perpetual Cadbury "Glass and a Half" trophy and will also enjoy a fabulous trip to Cadbury World in Birmingham. In 2002 the school went on to retain it's Cadbury trophy, an achievement of which we are very proud.

We  take part in the St. Jarlaths Credit Union quiz each year. Below is a  picture of our successful teams from 2002.

In 2005 our Junior and Senior teams came second and third respectively in the Credit Union Quiz.
