Episode 1                                            Seeing is Believing

David has never completely recovered from his traumatic experiences as a young soldier. An eye operation and the looming reunion with his mates stir long forgotten memories

Episode 2                                            Gordon’s Will

After suffering a stroke, Gordon relives a confrontation he experienced during his younger days at Changi. Gordon’s stubborn refusal to salute almost cost him his life but helped unite the men who form a group called “The Secret Nine”

Episode 3                                            Private Bill

On his final day as a university professor, Bill is visited by a young student who looks remarkably like the girl he fell in love with before the war. He begins to reminisce with her about his missing years in Changi from which, emotionally, he will never recover

Episode 4                                            Curley

As he practices for his impending driving test, Curley is thrown into a panic by an impatient driver behind him. His mind returns to Changi and the punishment he received. He was caught stealing food and Lieutenant Aso takes his revenge on the “Singing” thief

Episode 5                                            Eddie’s Birthday

Eddie celebrates his birthday as always with a ritualistic shave. He remembers other birthdays including the terror of a birthday in Changi when the Japanese morale officer went mad

Episode 6                                            Pacifying the Angels
