War drama recreating the dramatic rescue
of more than 500 American prisoners of war from the notorious Japanese POW camp
near Cabanatuan in the Philippines.
General Douglas MacArthur chose men from the Sixth Ranger Battalion to undertake
a mission 30 miles behind enemy lines, during which they would face enemy
forces known for their ferocity.
