Continental Breakfasts... The upcoming tour on the continent goes ahead as the itenary is in the process of being hammered down, and is set to take place in the Autumn. Dates currently in the air all fall within a twelve day period at the end of September, making maximum use of time on the ground in Europe in a measure aimed at reaching the widest audience possible within the limited time span available to the outfit. Not that this will be people's last chance to catch the artist on tour... artist and band are very much looking forward to the trip, and can't wait to contend with some local rashers and sausages... More details as they unfold.
Following recent contact with industry figures in the UK, Philip's music is currently headed to do the rounds in industry circles on the east coast of the US and in Canada, with the intent of raising the interest of labels there. The material is being brought over to US contacts by a promotion agency in the UK, the general feeling being that the artist's music might be more likely to tweak the sensibilities of an American public as opposed to British tastes.
The resultant images from the Quays gig in Galway are hopefully posted by the time this update goes live. Plenty to show from a great night all round... Rory Horan did a sterling job as usual on sound, and the home supporters left little to be desired - thanks all. Check it out in the gallery. Pix by Jack Cauley. Give that man a star. After a gap in May, the band are back on stage, next up being Cuba Live, Galway on Wednesday June 7th. Arise ye faithful of the west, and let us make your ears bleed! Now who wouldn't want to go after hearing that. See ye there. Two weeks later, Philip and crew return to Clare and Brandon's Ennis, for another home turf gig and a salute to all things Clare. Bring a friend...
