Net News The Philip Fogarty camp has gone to Earth for late July and a goodly portion of August, but the internet never sleeps; MP3s have finally found their way onto the site, courtesy of the efforts of Galway techie Niall O' Connor, and setting the ball rolling is a full length MP3 of Endangered Breed's title track... check it out on the audio clips page.
Meanwhile Celtic TV, a site covering the very best in the world of celtic music, incorporating video of celtic bands performing live on the web, is now featuring the artist's music online, and the EP has been playlisted on their Friday night webradio broadcasts... Preparations have gone on apace in advance of the outfit's excursion on the continent in September, the logistics of which, world wide tour though it's not, have proved hair-raising enough to warrant the odd nervous twitch... nevertheless, the details have been more or less ironed out, leaving the outfit free to make the live preparations, which includes among other things an extended set which brings the concert length up to two hours. Philip and Co. will be hitting US soil later this year to give statesiders a taste of what they do best. They've been scheduled to feature in the line-up of the Music of the Rivers festival, a four day music event in Jacksonville, Florida this Autumn whose main aim is to contribute, through the medium of celtic music, towards the upkeep of rivers "from the Shannon to the St. Johns". The full line-up for the festival has yet to be confirmed, but all news and updates may be had by dropping into www.musicoftherivers.org. Meanwhile artist and band are said to be stocking up on sun lotion in advance of the almost unheard-of notion of Irish people sunbathing in late fall... More on this in the next update.
