 About the European Labour Market Programme

The Course is a special intensive EU supported Socrates programme organised by six different universities. The participating universties are:

 Roskilde University (Denmark)

 Lund University (Sweden)

 Trinity College, Dublin (Ireland)

 University of Porto (Portugal)

 University of Stirling (Scotland/UK

 Castalanza University (Italy)

The course draws from Economic, Sociological and Business backgrounds and is intended to give students an undestanding of the intricasies of European Labour Markets. The course includes the following modules:

 Introduction to European Labour Markets

 The Economics of Labour Markets

 The Sociology of Work and Labour Markets

 Evaluating Active Labour Market Policies

 Training, Education and the Labour Market

 Gender and labour Markets

 Labour Markets from a firm perspective

 Industrial relations

The course is taught by the staff of the six participating universities and they include:

Bent Greve (Roskilde), James Wickham (Dublin), Josephine Browne (Dublin), Anders Jarnegren (Lund),
