Irish plantsman's garden in Garden of Ireland

Dermot Kehoe's Garden @
Mir, 8 New Russian Village, Kilquade, Co. Wicklow

gardenphoto
This is a plantsman's garden, .75 acres (.30 hectares) in extent.

It is packed with rare and unusual plants from all five continents.

Herbaceous and alpine plants are strongly featured and Dermot frequently writes in Irish and U.K. publications and lectures on the development of the garden.

Along with the serious collecting there is more than a hint of romance and, by the way, "mir" means peace.
