| Eircom
Net Eircom is Irelands main phone company and has been floated on the stock market since 1999 and has had low retrurns for its sharholders so far. It is still the most used of all the phone companies and has a very good setup. Internet In practical terms, an average web page with a mix of text and small images takes up approximately 100K of space. eircom net offers 20MB of free web space to our "Go Further for Free" customers and 100MB of free webspace to our Subscription customers. This will allow you to build an impressive site. Their Tech Support phone lines are charged at 58p per minute though so dont take too long fixing your site.Phone Before Eircom bought out Telecom Eireann you could just ring them up and they would come out and put a new line in for you. Now though because Eircom is not owned by the government, Eircom must apply to them for permission, so it might take a few week to get a new line in. Their charges are 4ppm Day, 1ppm Evening and 1ppm Weekend for there home phone service. Their Internet charges are as follows : 1.6pmm Day, 0.8ppm Evening and 0.8pmm Weekend
Esat Clear is Irelands Second phone and internet company, recently bought by Brittish Telecom. They are a very good company but perhaps not quite on par with Eircom service.
