Attendance, punctuality, homework, uniform and other routine aspects
of school life are followed closely. The school is aftentive to
all aspects of a student' s experience as this promotes self-esteem,
academic success and social competence.
We guarantee to contact parents in writing for any prolonged absence
(3 days) and frequently phone home to check on attendance.
All students are given a grounding in the new technologies (using
recently purchased computers in a Windows environment) including
word processing, database, spreadsheet, desk-top publishing, as
well as the Internet.
We encourage boys to take part in extra-curricular activities,
encompassing a wide range of sports (including rugby and soccer)
debating, and many curriculum based projects.
In summary, we strive for a happy and hard-working school culture,
in which high standards of academic progress and personal development
are fostered in a climate of mutual respect. We believe this is
the best preparation for the world our students must enter. We believe
in maintaining the standards and traditions of our College which
have been built up since its foundation in 1902. At the same time
we are incorporating modem educational insights, techniques and
understanding within this fine tradition.
Please contact the school and make an appointment if you wish
to find out more about the school. I will be happy to answer your
questions and to explain as clearly and practically as possible
how our school operates.
Yours sincerely,
Jim Murray Principal
