We have played in the Rackard League Camogie from our school from 1999 to 2000.  We both won and lost in these years.

Below is a photo of the Wexford County Rackard League team. One person from our school made it on to the team.  Her name is Treacy Nolan. She is actually now the captain. Treacy is standing fourth from the left in the back row.

Bunclody lost out to Monageer in the Church & General sponsored Rackard League camogie championship Roinn B final at Bellefield.
We won in 2000.  Emer Kelly was our captain and vice captain was Leanne Kehoe and they are pictured opposite with the same cup.Some of the proud Rackard League winners are pictured below with the cup.  Pictured from left side Mairead Byrne, Sinead Murphy, Michelle Armstrong, Leanne Kehoe, Emer Kelly and Michelle Nolan.

Football Skills

In 1999 Kilmyshall won the Enniscorthy District, county and individual football skills.  The players names were Ultan Cowman, Timothy Farrell, David Reck, Patrick Skelton and Darren Kehoe. 

 In 2000 we won the Enniscorthy District Individual Two but lost the county.

 In 2001 we won the Enniscorthy District but lost the county. 

 We have done well in the past few years and we hope to well in the present year and coming years.  We now have players on the county team.  We think the skills are great practice for football.

   

Handball

Ann Atkinson and Tracy Nolan won the handball doubles in 1999.  They won the Under-13 and the Under-11.  Ultan Cowman, one of our past pupils went to Chicago to play handball and did very well.  

Famous Past Pupils

Stephen Sheehan

 Stephen is a past pupil of Kilmyshall N.S. and has been extremely successful in a variety of sports.  The following is a list of some of his sporting achievements:

 ·        Won U-14 All-Ireland hurling medal and on the same day he received 'Man of the Match' trophy

 ·        Runner-up in Rackard League Football in 94/95

 ·        Won Rackard League Football in 95/96

 ·        Has won three minor football medals (county) and also a Jim Byrne Cup medal

 ·        Was one of few dual players (a player who plays both hurling and football in the same year for their county) to play minor last year

 ·        U-17 Compromised Rules team (Ireland) played against Australia - won 1 test lost 2 tests

 ·        Played in an All-Ireland final for F.C.J., Bunclody in the 99/00 school year but unfortunately they lost

 ·        He has represented Wexford at U-14, U-16, U-18 (minor) and also U-21. 

 

Colm Kehoe 

Colm Kehoe is the youngest in his family.  He played on the U-12 hurling team and he went on to win Rackard Leagues in hurling and football in 1984 with Fr. Ryan and Michael Dee.

Colm was already a forward in his days and believes that this is one of the main reasons why he has become such a respected defender at county level.

 By the time Colm started in the F.C.J. Secondary School it was obvious that he was going to have a major influence on school teams.  He has the distinction of having worn the purple and gold at U-18, U-21 and senior.  He was also a much valued player in our famous 1996 All-Ireland win which was followed by a Leinster win in 1997.
