Ladies Football
Raheny’s ladies side was set up in 1998 .They
entered the DWSL in the intermediate league division 4
The first season was a great season gaining promotion to division 3 only losing a playoff
for the league and
reaching the semi finals of the shield .Their first season in division 3 proved very
difficult but we managed to
avoid relegation and also reached the quarter finals of the cup.In the year 2000 season
the ladies have proved that
they are well capable of winning the league on their day, but they have been losing games
through bad luck
and injuries.In 2001 for the first time underage sides were set up with an under 14 and an
under 16.
