SPRING by 3rd CLASS
Our Spring Collage
By 3rd Class
This is the Spring collage we made. It shows bunnies, lambs, chicks, flowers and lots of other things made out of recyclable materials.

We started by painting toilet rolls different shades of brown. Later, we stuck them together to make the bark of our tree. Then, we cut out egg-cartons and painted the cup shape red so we could make tulips. We also used egg-cartons to make our daffodils. For the daffodil, we painted the outside yellow and the inside orange. These were stuck to yellow star shapes to make our 3-D flowers.
Three children from the class went out into the yard to collect twigs from the ground that we could glue together to make our nests. The birds make it look so easy! We made the grass by painting newspaper green and rolling it up. Our shiny, new leaves were made by painting on tinfoil.
Finally, we drew rabbits, chicks and lambs. We covered the lambs with white cotton-wool. The rabbits had lovely little cotton-wool tails, and our little yellow chicks were covered in cotton-wool and their eggs have real cracked egg-shell glued to them, like a mosaic.
For the background, we used ripped up yellow plastic bags to make our 3-D sun. Our colourful clouds were made out of different shades of cotton-wool. Everyone in the class had a chance to paint and put the picture together.
We had lots of fun making our picture and we are very proud of all our hard work. We hope you like our Spring wall-hanging!
