HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Have a wonderful holiday! Thank you for all your hard work this year. We look forward to seeing you back at school, fresh and relaxed, after a great summer, on FRIDAY 1st SEPTEMBER. Remember to take care, stay safe and have a great summer holiday.

To our school leavers we wish you the very best in your new schools where ever they may be. You can keep up with events at Rathcormac through the school website!

Final Assembly

At our last assembly we said goodbye to 6th Class, to Mr Francis Kearns and Ms Margaret Holland. A member of 6th Class addressed the Assembly. She expressed the thanks of 6th Class to staff and pupils alike, for all the teaching and friendships that had made their time at the school worthwhile and pleasurable. Thank you 6th Class. Thank you too Mr Kearns & Ms Holland.

Well done to 2nd Class who raised over €700 for Bothar as part of their First Holy Communion celebrations.

We were also treated to a guitar duet by Pearse & his friend Donal. Pearse has been working this year with our students who have English as a Second Language but his real love is the guitar. Many thanks for a wonderful Assembly and for all your work this year. We wish you well in Prague this summer!

School Tours a Great Success!

All school tours passed off very successfully despite some mixed weather. Here are a few photographs from just two of the tours, 2nd Class at Rossinver Organic Centre and 3rd, 4th and 5th Class at the Ulster American Folk Park.

Sports Day

Our thanks to Ms O'Boyle and 6th Class for organising and running the day. 6th class were a real credit to themselves, they ran the various activites superbly and were very patient with the younger children. Many thanks and well done.

A special thank you too to parents G & S Gilmartin Bouncy Castles who loaned us a variety of Bouncy Castles, Slides and Obstacle Courses for the day. Although the weather was grey, the colour of the inflatables in the school grounds, and the enjoyment the children got from them, really made the day special for all. Thank you.

Fair Well to Francis Kearns & Margaret Holland

Francis and Margaret retired from teaching this summer. We wish them well and thank them for the enormous contribution they made to Rathcormac School. Staff from Rathcormac School (Past & Present) and from Maugherow School, together with family and friends, met at the Clarion Hotel for a fairwell dinner. It was a great evening and a great send off.
