A Green Flag School:

The school is on its way to becoming a Green Flag School. This is an important environmental project and links in with a national scheme. Its about looking after the earth's finite resources. Key in it all are the three Rs

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

The programme encourages a consciousness of our environment, the waste we produce and how to reduce it. The Rathcormac Green Flag Project is run by Mary Power. Mary says there are seven steps that the school goes through to earn itself a Green Flag. We are at the second stage and hope to earn ourselves the Green Flag status within the next twelve months.

More about this soon, in the meantime Reduce, Reuse and Recycle...

A School Website:

The school has revamped its website and relaunches it this Easter. We plan to update elements of the site on a monthly basis so that it becomes a living tool for communicating with a variety of audiences. To look at the proposal for this website click here:

Cumann na mBunscul:

Rathcormac N.S. boys' and girls' teams played their first competitive matches of the year on 24th March. The girl's team won their game against Scoil Ursula, the scores being 2:4 to 0:1.
The boys team were also victorious over St John's National School with the scores 1:9 to 0:1.
"Both teams are to be complimented on their positive attitude and style of play on the field," says coach, Carl O'Rourke. Well done everyone! We look forward to reporting on more successes after the Easter break.
