The Town Hall Stage. The Town Hall was burned in 1948 and by 1951 everything was back in action. The centre for all Drama groups in Dundalk were held on that stage. The Dundalk Musical society hold their annual show in April. Every year they also put on the panto at Christmas. 80 to 100 children including myself and my sister have been in several of these shows. My mammy was Sleeping Beauty. I have been in Aladdin, Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Many groups use the town hall for their plays. The Maytime festival hold an International Drama festival every May. The Co Council have their chambers in the upper part of the Town Hall. It is a beautiful Room worth a visit. The Town Hall is a beautiful old stone building and a landmark in the town. By Amy
