Sports and Leisure

For those who want something more active you will be spoilt for choice.

• Lough Derg is approx 15km away where you can enjoy a host of water sports including sailing, waterskiing and cruising.
• Excellent coarse and game fishing is provided by Lough Derg and the small rivers in the area. Equipment, bait etc are available locally.
• There are five 18-hole golf courses to choose from, all within 30 minutes drive. Nenagh, Roscrea, Thurles, Birr and Portumna.
• Cycling, walking and riding are all available with the quite roads around lough derg and the Silvermines especially attractive.

Restaurants and Pubs

You can pop down to the village, which is only a 5 minute walk, for 'a quiet pint and a bite to eat' or try some of the excellent local restaurants and pubs in Nenagh or Roscrea.
