Ballinlough Tennis Club hosted the finals of their Open Tournament in Cork on Saturday 9th September. This competition was restricted to Grades 6, 5 and 4. There was a big entry in each grade and a very tough competition in each grade. Nine finals took place on the Saturday and Kilworth were represented in three finals winning all three.
In the Mens Doubles Grade 5 Tom Flynn and his Canadian partner from Rushbrooke Tennis Club won an excellent match in two sets.

| Current Activities Junior l2 hour Tennis Marathon this coming Saturday (24th) 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Rushbrooke to help raise funds for the games room in the new Clubhouse. Special hour ll - l2 noon for under 9 yrs. Each child should do a minimum of 2 hrs. tennis. Coaches and parents will be there all day to supervise children. Sponsorship cards available from the Clubhouse and children should bring their cards and monies on the day. Party for participants at 8 p.m. in the Clubhouse.
