Attention All Lambs...

On Friday December 28th at The Cobblestone in Smithfield,

Rollers/Sparkers will celebrate the return of prodigal sons and

daughters from foreign shores. Rejecting mammon at last but now facing

penury, hunger and the shame of foppish pants, these lost souls will

find themselves once again in the near-smothering embrace of the

patriarch men call Rollers/Sparkers. It will be a night of bright music,

frothy ales, and honest meats; for many it will represent a return to

the values of homeliness, the familiar, the hearth, the fold. To join us

in celebrating this occasion, we cordially invite lambs of all casts,

colours, genders and religious persuasions, be they cock-eyed,

knock-kneed, brassy or sheepish. There is room for all lambs at the

house of Rollers/Sparkers - even the very fattest.

All should note that this will be the first show Rollers/Sparkers have

headlined since June of this year, so the band are expected to coat the

night with a fervour approaching mint sauce. There will also be an

eagerly-awaited performance by the formidable Mingforyang, whose

plaintive melodies have pricked up many an ovine ear across a dew-bright

glen. Gates will open at 8.30. Mingforyang will take to the stage around

9.00pm. Admission is 5 old Irish pounds.

Patrons are reminded that The Cobblestone is a "listening venue" and

that needless bleating during the proceedings is therefore unwelcome.

(Just because the others are doing it is no reason... etc.,etc.)
