The Club
Roscrea, Co. Tipperary is located in the midlands of Ireland, and Roscrea rugby club participates in both the Leinster league and the Midlands league. The club is very dedicated to it's youth section with children form all ages learning the sport. We are always interested in acquiring new players and recently we had our first foreign players from the Southern Hermisphere.
This season, which has commenced in September, has and will be tough but with captain Niall Campion giving leadership and under the guidance of Kevin O'Dwyer, Roscrea are confident that they can have another successful year. To compete in the first division a strong panel of players is needed and nearly all of last years panel are available plus a strong group of upcoming young players. Last season was a very proud one for the club with the Senior side bringing home the Midlands League trophy to Streamstown.

A strong seconds team is also essential to the well being of the club again this year, with Joe Dooley and Michael Quealy looking after affairs again for the seconds, sound foundations have been laid for this year. It is hoped that the team will be very competive throughout the season, on all competition fronts. All players are expected to give a big commitment to playing and training. Playing is the name of the game and to play well you have to be fit, and to be fit you have to train.
Roscrea is a great club to play for. The comraderie and the craic is mighty. Play for Roscrea and you have friends for life. Train hard, play hard and enjoy the craic afterwards - that is the Roscrea way!
