Rosewood B&B is in South Kilkenny but just 3 miles from the center of Waterford City.

The house is on the edge of a small country village called Slieverue or Slaigh Rua in Irish which translates to Red Hill or Mountain. Though in the countryside the house is close to the city.

The house has four ensuite rooms

Michael & Catherine Evans are the owners of "Rosewood "B&B. Michael worked for thirty eight years for the Waterford Crystal Company, first as an apprentice cutter then as a master before moving on to becoming a training instructor. He then moved to his first love sport to become manager of the Companies Sports & Leisure Center. In his time as a master cutter he worked on many of the fine trophies that have been presented to winning sports men & women down through the years. He now works as Sport and Recreation Manager in our local third level Institution Waterford IT. When not involved in sport Michael likes to spend time in the garden.

Catherine has worked in the service industry all her life dealing with people on a daily basis, her main strength is her friendly personality and helpful nature. Catherine prides herself in looking after the house and keeping it to a high standard.

Waterford is best known for its famous Crystal, the now closed factory is just a 15 minute drive from the house, the visitor Center is still there and is open 7 days for most of the year ( five days during the 3 winter months).

Waterford and the South East is one of the most scenic areas of the country with more then the Crystal Factory to see, over the years Waterford has being seen as just a stop over point to see the Crystal Factory but there is a lot more to it, Why not visit the Waterford City Site    

Directions to Rosewood B&B:

From Roslare take the N25 signposted Waterford, coming through New Ross stay on N25 for Waterford to the Luffany Roundabout, take the second exit signposted Waterford North R711, follow on to the Slieverue Roundabout and take the third exit signposted Slievere. You will then be outside our home.

From Dublin on the N9 follow the signs for Waterford, at the bridge, railway station roundabout in Waterford go stright through, continue on to the next roundabout taking the second exit, again continue on the R711 to the Slieverue roundabout and take the first exit, you will then be outside our home.     

From Waterford City centre drive along by the river and across the bridge, at the bridge, railway station roundabout in Waterford take the third exit, continue on to the next roundabout taking the second exit, again continue on the R711 to the Slieverue roundabout and take the first exit, you will then be outside our home.
