During the treatment the whole of both feet will be massaged to treat the whole body.
An increasing number of people are turning to this very safe and natural therapy as a way to relax, balance and harmonise their bodies.

In addition to treating ill health, Reflexology is used to maintain good health.
Modern Reflexology dates back to the 1930's when a physiotherapist called Eunice Ingham developed a method of applying pressure to particular points on the feet. This in turn helped relieve problems in other areas of the body.
It was a further refinement of zone therapy, which was introduced in 1913 by an American ear, nose and throat surgeon called Dr. William Fitzgerald. He had noted that pressure on specific parts of the body could have an anaesthetising effect on a related area.

A Reflexologist uses hands only to apply gentle but firm pressure to the feet. By working on specific points, blockages are released and working on specific points restores the free flow of energy restored to the whole body. Tensions are eased, and circulation and elimination is improved. This gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself at its own pace, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse. An increasing number of people of all ages are using Reflexology as a way of relaxing, balancing and harmonising the body.

By balancing the energy lines in your body the therapist enables your body to heal itself more efficiently and results are evident within a short while.
