SABCCI 2001 SHOW RESULTS

The 48th Annual SABCCI Championship Cat Show (held under the GCCFI rules) was held on Sunday 14th October 2001 in Terenure College Theatre, Templeogue Road, Dublin 6

BEST EXHIBIT

Best Exhibit for 2001 was a Male Red Burmese ELMYRA SIMPLY RED (SIMON), owned by Mrs. Sharon Saville and bred by Mrs. L. Fryer. This picture shows SIMON with his proud owner on the day.

 

BEST LONGHAIR

Best Longhair was Mrs. P. Butler's Female Neuter Red Self Persian AMERITZ FANCY THAT, bred by Mr. O. Noonan.

 

BEST SEMI-LONGHAIR

Best Semi-Longhair was a Seal Point Birman Kitten, ARDBRACCAN BEWITCHED, owned by Mrs. C. E. Gilmore and bred by Miss. T. Walsh.

 

BEST BRITISH SHORTHAIR

Best British Shorthair went to BEDAZZLE IRVINE, a Tipped Male, owned by Mrs. J. Steele, who travelled from the UK for the show, and bred by Ms. S. L. Cummins.

 

BEST FOREIGN SHORTHAIR

This title again went to Mrs. Maura O'Rourke's Female Blue Tortie Tabby Devon Rex, FOOTYKATZ COOMAKISTA TOSNU, bred by Mrs. E. Reid. This cat also won in this catagory at last years's show.

 

BEST BURMESE

Best Burmese was a Male Red Burmese ELMYRA SIMPLY RED (SIMON), owned by Mrs. Sharon Saville (see also Best Exhibit, above).

 

BEST ORIENTAL SHORTHAIR

Best Oriental Shorthair went to TADACHOW MERERID EURIG, a Male Neuter Apricot Ticked Tabby, owned by Mrs. M.D. Scott and bred by Mr. & Mrs. Chown. Both the owner and Mr. Chown travelled to the show from the UK.

 

BEST SIAMESE / BALINESE

Best Siamese/Balinese went to a Cream Point Siamese Female Neuter, CHAMPION APRIKAT SPLENDIFEROUS, owned by Ms. A. Kearney, and bred by Mrs. R.L. Smyth

 

BEST HOUSEHOLD PET

This honour went to a 4 month old black kitten, called ANNABELLE, owned by Miss. Emer O'Kelly. Annabelle is pictured having a snooze after the judging.
