The Pavilion Theatre opened in December 2000. Their first production was 'The Quest of the Good People'. We loved it! This is a picture of Etain who was changed into a butterfly by the jealous Fuamnach.

Our Church

The Parish of St. Michael began in 1829. Sadly in 1965 it was destroyed by fire. This beautiful new church was opened in 1973.

Inside the church there are some beautiful pictures. This one is by Peter Cassidy. Stained glass windows let in beautifully coloured light.

The first commuter rail service in the world ran from Westland Row, now called Pearse Station to Dun Laoghaire, or Kingstown as it was known then.

You can still see the old ticket office on the south bound platform.

The National Maritime Museum.

The Museum is housed in the former Mariner's Church. There are many interesting displays in the Museum.

The Baily Optic which you can see in this picture was in use in the Baily Lighthouse for 70 years from 1902-1972. It has a light of 2 million candle power.

Our School

One of our parents - Bernie Twamley, helped us to paint a mural on the wall of our school playground.

We used our library to have an inter-Dominican School Quiz last year.
