Think about the Environment
by Third Class

TISSUE

Did you know that coloured tissur paper kills fish?
That's why we buy white tissue in school.
Please think about the poor fish and buy plain white tissue.
Sarah Dalton.

PAPER ART

Instead of throwing paper away, try to make art out of it like we did in school.
A few days ago the teacher had some paper and we turned it into art.
We made birds out of it. We did that by cutting out the shapes of the birds and then cut a little hole in them. Then we made a fan and stuck it through the hole to make wings. We also used paper for drawing dragons. We coloured them in glitter crayons.
It was really fun.
Sarah Dalton.

In school we use old paper for art instead of throwing it away because if we put too much in the dump we will end up having all of the juice that come from bins will end up in the nearest river and kill the creatures that are in there.

Bringing Your Dog for a Walk
Pooper Scoopers

Pooper Scoopers are used for picking up dog dirt.
You should tell your friends and family to bring a pooper - scooper wherever they bring their dog.

Learning to keep our Environment Clean

Even young children in a creche can learn about keeping the creche clean. In our model of a creche you can see a slide and a climbing frame.

Cleaning Up

We clean the yard every day after our playtime. Two people from 3rd up to 6th class have this job.

Recycling
We recycle Glass

We get glass by digging holes in the Earth. We melt the sand and make the shape of a bottle.
If we recycle our glass we will not have to do all that hard work or dig holes in the earth.
We recycle glass bottles because we don't want them to go to waste. Some people keep their glass bottles. Other people bring their glass bottles to the recycle bins. You can use bottles as ornaments or as candle holders.
by Sophie Tallant

We in the third class recycle old food that we don't eat.
So we turn food into art.
I would like if you would take part in recycling food, toys, glass bottles and other things lying around.
You too could make art out of old junk. Help the world to become a better place.
by Jenny Byrne

Rubbish and Litter

This is our rubbish in a skip. If you want to clear out your house or your garden you can hire out a skip. When the skip is full the company takes it away on a lorry. The lorry tips the rubbish into the dump
By Kelly lawlor.

The Bin Truck

Once upon a time there was a bin truck. His name was Bert. He collected all the rubbish from all the houses in the country. He was the strangest bin truck on earth. All the people loved him.
by Ben

Rubbish

You should use bins instead of putting rubbish on the ground. We squash our milk cartons in school. Now we only have one rubbish bag instead of two. That means there are only eleven bags of rubbish.
