Irish Dancing
I love Irish dancing and I belong to the Landers School of
Irish Dancing.
I represented Ireland in 1998 in France ,and in 1999 Poland, Belgium and the Isle of
Man.
These are some dances you might learn:
Light Jig
Slip Jig
Single Jig
Treble Jig
Hornpipe
Treble Reel
Job of Journey
Garden of Daises
Saint Patrick's Day
Blackbird.
To dance you need two pairs of shoes:
Poms and
Treble Shoes.
My Dancing Costume
If you want to win trophies or medals you will go to a
Feis, where you
compete against girls or boys from other schools of dancing. This pastime is
very popular and people from all over the world come to Ireland on Saint
Patrick's Day to witness this event.
