Ian Brown is reported to want to Record an EP of Michael Jackson songs since his success with his cover version of Billy Jean also he is interested in playing The Glastonbury Festival this year and is only waiting for the call.

He is also writing a book about the time he spent behind bars and his days in The Stone Roses, more can be found at the Dotmusic website.

It seems that N.M.E. have gotten their hands on some of the new material that ex-Stone Roses Drummer Reni has been writing. The three tracks that they have heard are called "Kaleida", "Soul Full" and "Savvy" and it is reported that they show influences from the bands The Police and Love.

Primal Scream and Ian Brown Now seem to be appearing at the "Homelands" festival.

Ian Brown is confirmed for all three dates and it will all kick off on the 29th of April at the Mosney Holiday Centre, Co. Meath, Ireland.

Primal Scream are down for the British Dates and are expected to be appearing at the Irish date too, but as yet this is not 100% confirmed.

The Guitarist who took over from John Squire in the later stages of the Stone Roses, Aziz Ibraham, has released a track from his new debut album which can be downloaded in mp3 format from the N.M.E. website.

The track is called "Murassi" and it features ex-Stone Roses bassman Mani.

Ian Brown has been confirmed to play at the "Homelands" festivals in both England and Scotland.

The Dates are as follows : The Bowl, Matterley, Winchester, England on May 27 and 28 then at Staid Farm, Dalleagles, New Cumnock, Scotland on June 3.

There is also a "Homelands" event taking place in the Republic of Ireland at Mosney Holiday Centre, County Meath on April 29.It is unclear if Ian Brown will be performing at this at the moment.

Ian Brown will release "When Monkey's Were Dolphins" as his next single from his album Golden Greats on the 7-2-2000.

Included on the B-side will be the much anticipated cover version of Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean".
